September 22, 2020 Storm Alert Hello HHA Members

If you are staying at your cottage in the Hebrides over the next few days,, we suggest you may want to have an additional supply of water on hand, ie containers filled with drinking water, cooking and for flushing toilets. There is a generator on standby in the pumphouse should a power outage occur.
It will be activated as soon as possible after the outage but it may not be immediate.

Here is some other information you may find helpful in anticipation of the weather over the next few days.
Weather news is available at CBC Radio 96.1 (other local radio stations may be sharing local weather news as well).
Charge all electronics
Get cash in case ATMs are down
Get water & non-perishable food items and supplies such as a battery powered radio, flashlight and other items.

Let’s hope we don’t have to use any of the above. Stay safe and dry!
September 22, 2020 Update on Water Supply In the last post, it was indicated a generator could provide backup power in the pump house should there be a power outage. Unfortunately, it is not unavailable at this time which means everyone will have to rely on your individual stored water supply.
We’ll continue to update on the website as new Information is available....and power is maintained.

Let’s keep our fingers crossed!
